Locust Council Briefs for July

- The Locust Police Department introduces its three newest police officers Noah Coley, Garrett Ritzheimer and Robert Godek Jr.
At its meeting on July 7, the Locust City Council:
- Introduced three new police officers. All three are June graduates of Stanly Community College’s Basic Law Enforcement Training Program. Their names are Noah Coley, Robert Godek Jr., and Garrett Ritzheimer.
- Recapped upcoming park renovations. In the upcoming month, Officer Jeff Shelton Memorial Park will get new bike stands, dog stations and benches. A new retaining wall will be constructed near the ballfields, as well.
- Reminded citizens of a temporary recycling pick-up change. Anyone who has a Tuesday recycling pick-up should put out their recycling on July 31. Next month the schedule will return to normal.
