The Stanly County Health Department was awarded a Community Health Grant for $150,000.
“We are pleased to receive this grant as it will allow us to provide health care to those adults in our community who may otherwise not be able to afford it,” said Dave Jenkins, Stanly County health and human services director.
Health services provided include one complete physical and two sick/follow-up visits for each eligible person served by this grant.
Eligibility is determined by age, income and health insurance status. Participants must be 18 years old or older and underinsured or uninsured in order to be eligible. Call 704-986-3099 to determine your eligibility and/or make an appointment.
