Singing Americans prepare for Pleasant Grove show

The North Carolina Singing Americans of Stanly County will perform its final summer patriotic concert at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 17236 Frog Pond Road, Oakboro.
Following concerts at Grace Baptist Church and Bethany Woods Assisted Living Center, the Singing Americans remain under the direction of Douglas Freeman.
This 35 voice choir will present musical selections from “America of Thee I Sing!” — a patriotic celebration created by Luke Gambill, and including “God Bless the USA” and “I Love This Land.”
The Singing Americans of Stanly County is an organization composed of singers throughout Stanly County who love to share their faith and patriotism through annual Christmas and patriotic performances.
Members pay their own expenses and support the needs of the organization through fund raising events as often as needed.
