Mildred Hill Basinger, 89, of Richfield, NC, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Forrest Oakes.
Her funeral service will be 3 PM Sunday, June 17, 2018 in Luther’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeff Hoffner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM at Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care of Albemarle.
Mildred was born November 18, 1928 in Rowan County, NC and was the daughter of the late Henry Adam Hill and Frances Morgan Hill.
Mrs. Basinger was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Luther’s Lutheran Church. She loved quilting, fishing and working in her garden.
She is preceded in death by her husband Emamuel Charles Basinger.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda B. Troutman (Barry) of New London, NC; brother, Clyde Hill (Betty) of China Grove, NC; a sister, Ethel Brewer of Goose Creek, SC; two grandchildren, Hope Troutman Benoy and Mark N. Troutman, both of Albemarle, NC; three great-grandchildren, Holly Benoy Russell, Brandon M. Benoy and Chesney Troutman, all of Albemarle, NC.
