Dora Jane Efird, 84, of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at her home in Stanfield surrounded by family.

Dora was born November 1, 1933 to the late John Swindell Clontz and Georgie Hargett Clontz. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husband, Frank Willard Efird, Sr.; son, Frank Willard Efird Jr. “Bug”; great-grandson, Chase Alan Smith; sons-in-law, Alan Huneycutt, Gerald Brafford, and Billy Mac Connell.

Dora was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking and traveling.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Tuesday, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service officiated by Dr. Darrell Nance will be at 4:00pm, Wednesday at Kinza Memorial Church. Burial will follow at the Kinza Memorial Church Cemetery, 4311 Love Mill Rd., Stanfield.

Survivors include daughters, Wanda Brafford and JoAnn Huneycutt (Grover); daughter-in-law, Linda Efird (Bug’s Wife); sisters, Mary Freeman (Jeff), Linda Helms (Jerry); grandchildren, Dwain, Tanya, Stephanie, and Jennifer. She also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren, Emily, Katherine, Sarah, Britany, Conner, Kaitlyn, Brianna, Kayla, Alainna, Madison, and Gage; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Laura, Brandi, Darlene, Amanda, and Karen for the loving care that they showed Mama.
