Rev. Franklin Sanders, 68, of Albemarle went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2018 at CHS Stanly. A funeral service for Rev. Sanders will be held at 12:00PM
on Friday, May 11, 2018 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00PM on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care.
Rev. Sanders was born February 19, 1950 in Scotland County to the late Lottie Hicks Sanders and Vester Sanders, Sr. He retired with Stanly County as the Assistant Director of Public Works and was the associate pastor of Coyle Baptist
Church in Stanfield, NC. Franklin is survived by his wife Elizabeth Blan- ton Sanders of the home; sons Darrell Sanders (Sarah), David Sanders (Tracie), and Franklin Sanders, Jr. all of Albe- marle; 5 grandchildren; brother Vester Sanders, Jr.(Kathy) of Albemarle. He is preceded in death by a daughter Sandra
Sanders and 8 siblings. Stanly Funeral and Cre- mation Care of Albe- marle is serving the
