Canton Baptist Church Canton Baptist Church will have revival services March 4-7. The Sunday service will start at 6 p.m. All other services will begin at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Chris Justice, senior pastor of Lee Park Baptist Church of Monroe. Chris is a former news anchor of Channel 36 in Charlotte.

Saint Martin’s Lutheran Church St. Martin’s celebrated Scout Sunday on Feb. 4. The Scout troop participated in the worship service and everyone enjoyed a covered dish luncheon following the service. Feb. 11 was Transfiguration Sunday. Pastor Rust used scripture from Mark 9 for his children’s message, about Jesus’ identity being announced. 2 Corinthians was the scripture used for his worship message, about “Christ’s Light.” Shrove Tuesday was celebrated with a pancake supper on Feb. 13, and Ash Wednesday offered opportunities to worship, at 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., to begin our observation of the season of Lent. Everyone is invited to attend our Lenten services, each Wednesday evening during Lent. Services begin at 6:30 p.m. Mark your calendars for March 10. The St. Martin’s Youth will have their yard sale at the church.
