Friday, April 13, 2012 —
On April 13, there will be a barbecue fundraiser for the Community Inn Expansion Project at First Baptist Church in downtown Albemarle from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Tickets are $8 for pork barbecue prepared by the Good Ole’ Boys, and is available as a plate, along with slaw, chips, bread and cake, or the barbecue can be purchased by the pound.
Drive-through pick up will be operating at the rear of the church (please enter from North Street), although a dining area in the church fellowship hall will be available for anyone who wishes to eat it on-site.

We are Uniquely Made
Earlier this week the seniors at our school had one final hurdle to jump before graduation. They had to present their senior projects before panels of community members. Each room had four adults: the moderator and the three judges. You can be sure the students were quite nervous, but they usually do a great job. If they have practiced and prepared then they should experience success.
