Stanly Regional will expand emergency department

Monday, February 25, 2013 — Stanly Regional Medical Center (SRMC) confirmed Monday afternoon plans to renovate and expand its emergency department.

SRMC filed an application with the Certificate of Need Section of the N.C. Division of Health Service Registration, according to the Department of Health and Human Services. The application is to expand the emergency department.

A public hearing for the close to $9 million project is scheduled for 1 p.m. March 21 in Room 402 of the Stanly County Courthouse.
