Stanly County Fire Marshal Michael Roark and other officials are at the scene of a mobile home fire that happened early Friday morning in Palestine. Konda Morton confirmed that her grandparents, Thelma Britt and E.D. “Bud” Hopkins, were asleep at the time and died in the fire. More information will be posted as it is revealed.
