The Stanly County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested two individuals from outside the county, both of which now face drug charges.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies executed a search warrant at 36274 Finger Road, Mt. Pleasant, on Jan. 28. During the search, bath salts, which contain the illegal controlled substance methylenedioxypyrovaerone, were found, as well as the schedule IV controlled substance Xanax. Deputies also found multiple needles and other drug paraphernalia, which were seized.
Charles Shane Hartsell, 31, of 6101 Blue Ridge Road, Kannapolis, and Kandas Nichelle Stirewalt, 22, of the residence, admitted to owning the property. They were arrested and charged with felony possession of methylenedioxypyrovaerone, possession schedule IV substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both received a $15,000 secured bond and are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 6.
