The golf teams of the Yadkin Valley Conference had their fourth match of the season on Monday in much warmer conditions than in previous matches this season, playing the front nine at Piney Point Golf Club in Norwood.

In the first-ever Yadkin Valley Diamond Classic, hosted by the Albemarle Parks and Recreation Department, Southlake Christian out of Huntersville took on Durham’s Voyager Academy in the championship finals, while local teams Albemarle and North Stanly faced off in the third-place game.
