Pfeiffer University’s Christina Harvey has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Player of the Week during week six of the 2012 – 2013 Basketball season.
Harvey gives Pfeiffer their second-straight Player of the Week after pouring in a career-high 32 points, 25 in the first half, to help lead the Falcons to their fourth-straight win past Erskine 79-66 resuming Conference Carolinas play on Saturday afternoon.
In the first 20 minutes, Harvey scored her 25 points on 12-of-16 shooting (75 percent) with a long-range three and seven rebounds to secure a 45-28 halftime lead. Harvey finished with a double-double of 32 points and 11 rebounds. The senior also added three assists and three steals to complete her attack.
She and the Lady Falcons will look to continue one of the best starts in school-history at 91 heading north to King on Saturday night.

The South Stanly baseball team evened the 1A Western Regional Series with a 12-5 win at home over Hendersonville.
