On Saturday afternoon, the men’s and women’s basketball teams of Pfeiffer made the trip down to Due West, S.C. to take on the Flying Fleet of Erskine College.
The Pfeiffer teams host Barton tonight.
Women’s Basketball

Erskine 47
Led by a team-high 17 points from Brittany Cox and another double-double from Christina Harvey, Pfeiffer extended their season-high win-streak to seven with a 58-47 win at Erskine on Saturday afternoon.
Five early points from Cox would stake the Falcons (18-3, 13-3) out to a 7-0 lead while a Carter Williams three and jumper from Harvey later pushed the advantage to 23-6 with 4:21 remaining in the first half. Erskine (2-20, 1-15) cut into the deficit by closing out the half on a 10-3 run as Pfeiffer carried a 26-16 lead into the half.
To start the second, the Fleet sliced the lead all the way down to three on a layup by Tara Potter 4:29 into the period. Jodie Lemons took over the next 58 seconds hitting a pair of threes for the Falcons getting the lead back to nine at 34-25.
Midway through the period, Cox led the way along with more triples from Lemons as Pfeiffer maintained the double-digit lead to the final horn.
Behind Cox's 17, Lemons would finish with 15. Harvey’s double-double consisted of 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Men’s Basketball
Erskine 84
Pfeiffer 58
Erskine shot 50 percent from the field and turned 20 Pfeiffer turnovers into 28 points claiming an 84-58 win.
Roderick Perkins led Erskine (13-7, 8-7 CC) and all scorers with 23 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field.
Josh Humphrey led the Falcons (3-19, 1-14) with 16 points and nine rebounds as Pfeiffer was officially eliminated from postseason contention with the road loss to the Fleet.
