Thursday, February 4, 2010 — Pfeiffer put four players in double-figures as the Lady Falcons rolled to a 76-52 victory over the Converse Valkyries in women’s basketball action on Wednesday night.
Devona Knight led the way with 14 points and 13 rebounds as Pfeiffer (11-8, 11-3 CC) remained in second place in the conference, a game and a half behind Barton.
Ashley Arff starting things off by putting Converse (3-15, 3-10) up 7-2 a couple of minutes into the contest.
After about a minute and a half of scoreless action, Pfeiffer bounced back with a pair of baskets by Jamila Harris and a game-tying shot by Domonique China in an 8-0 run. Ashley Day cut the Valkyries deficit to one, before the Lady Falcons spurted out on a 9-0 run halfway through the first period.
