Tuesday, March 9, 2010 — The West Stanly softball team rallied for a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to earn a 4-3 Rocky River Conference home win over the Cuthbertson Cavaliers on Saturday afternoon.
West Stanly’s win was their season opener and home opener as well.
Emily B. Huneycutt earned the win for the Colts, allowing three runs on eight hits.
Megan Recher took the loss for the Cavs (0-1), allowing four runs.
West will host North Stanly today at 4:30 p.m.
