Pfeiffer slips past Lees Mc-Rae
Thursday, October 30, 2008 — The Pfeiffer women’s volleyball team remained on top of the Conference Carolinas standings with a 3-2 win over Lees-McRae on Tuesday night.
The Falcons won with scores of 18-25, 28-26, 25-23, 23-25, 6-15 in a five-set thriller.
Brittany Dickens had 18 kills and three errors in 32 attempts for the Falcons.
Lauren Spiotta and Petra Ljubicic had 17 kills. Morgan Liebert handed out 57 assists. Victoria Parrish and Dickens had 3.5 total blocks.
Lauren Hall led the Lees-McRae offense with 14 kills on 35 attempts with only three errors.
Natalie Burns contributed 12 kills, and Megan Epperson had 11 kills, 23 digs, three solo blocks, and four service aces.
Pfeiffer improved to 23-4 overall, 15-1 in the conference while the Bobcats fell 14-12 overall and 12-4 in the conference.
The Falcons open a three-game home stand on Saturday with a 1 p.m. home game against the Anderson Trojans.
