Thursday, August 28, 2008 — The Gray Stone Lady Knights volleyball team opened their 2008 season this past week with a 3-0 win on the road at South Davidson.
In the first game, the Lady Knights showed off some offensive power and solid serving to cruise to a 25-14 win.
The second game was a bit tighter with the Knights winning by a score of 25-19.
In game three the Lady Knights were able to recover from an early deficit and bouce back to win 25-18 and win the match over the Wildcats.
The Knights offense looked strong with power hitting from Lauren Singletary and Ashley Harrington.
Caitlyn Ferebee provided outstanding setting as well as strong serving.
Dejah Broussard delivered solid blocking at the net, while Heather Eudy supplied good defense and several key kills at the net.
