Overcoming a slow start, the Albemarle boys rallied for a 61-56 overtime win.

Four Albemarle players reached double figures, with Jaquale Watson leading the Bulldogs (7-1, 4-1 RRC) with 17 points.

“We didn’t shoot very well but we did fight back and woke up in the second half,” Albemarle head coach Al Andrew said.

The second-place Bulldogs, who have won six in a row, will face the undefeated Forest Hills team in Marshville Wednesday.

“This game was good for us tonight. We learn from every game and hopefully we will be ready Wednesday night.”
