The Carolina Christian School varsity basketball teams continued their season on Friday night when the Lions took on the Arborbrook Falcons.
On Dec. 27-28, Carolina Christian will host a four-school varsity holiday basketball tournament.
The Community School of Davidson will take on Fayetteville Street Christian starting with a girls’ game at 3 p.m. Thursday and the boys at 4:30. Carolina Christian’s girls’ squad takes the floor at 6 p.m Thursday to take on Carmel Christian, while the boys’ teams will play at 7:30 p.m.
The losing teams from both games play Friday starting at 3 p.m. with the championship games starting at 6.

The Carolina Christian Lady Lions moved to 7-0 on the season with a 61-9 victory over the Arborbrook Lady Falcons on Friday night.
CCS started quickly, leading 23-0 at the end of the first period. The Lady Lions were dominating on both ends of the floor all game.
Chloe Burris led all scorers with 16 Points and hauled down 12 rebounds. Ashton Franklin added 10 points and nine rebounds, while Reiley Burris also had 10 points.
“I was very pleased with our defensive pressure tonight. We were able to get solid pressure on the ball and create turnovers,” CCS head coach Randy Burris said.

Carolina Christian improved to 5-3 on the season with a 95-47 win over the Arborbrook Falcons.
The Lions played consistently on both ends of the floor all game. After leading 43-30 at the half, the Lions opened up the game in the third quarter by outscoring the Falcons 29-9.
Justin Sellers led five Lions in double figures with a game and season high 29 points. Troy George added 15, Luke Moore and Steven Carr had 13 each, and Will Player scored 11.
“We took care of business tonight. I was pleased with our execution on both ends of the floors. Our players worked really well together,” CCS head coach Marcus Dilligard said.
