Friday, October 19, 2012 —
Pfeiffer scored four unanswered goals, thanks to three by Becca Kirchner, during a 4-1 victory over host Barton in Conference Carolinas women's soccer action on Wednesday night.
The Falcons keep their home field advantage hopes alive in the upcoming league tournament improving to 6-6-2 overall, 5-2-2 in conference play while the Bulldogs drop to 4-9, 3-7.
Barton's Taylor Parrish put the hosts on the board first in the 15th minute before firing her long shot in for her fifth goal of the season. Pfeiffer would take over from that point on, beginning with Kirchner's first of the day just before the half in the 38th minute on an assist from Brittany Papaj. Five minutes later, Aaliyah Jackson would tally her team-leading seventh of the year depositing a loose ball after Hannah Hill clanked one of the crossbar.
Kirchner would take over in the second half as both Hill and Papaj would assist on her second of the night in the 59th minute while Hill contributed her third assist of the night helping Kirchner register her hat trick in the 72nd minute.
Pfeiffer will now briefly step out of league play on Saturday heading to Brevard for a 2 p.m. matchup with the Tornados.
