The Albemarle varsity boys’ got a big night from senior Deon Christian in a 76-60 home win over West Montgomery.
Christian led the ‘Dogs (14-2, 10-2 YVC) with 26 points on 11-of-16 shooting , adding five rebounds.
Albemarle head coach Al Andrew said that Christian “was active defensively and [West] could not stop him on the offensive side.”

The Albemarle girls fell to 5-12 overall and 3-9 in the YVC with a six-point loss at home to the Warriors. Akela Branch led the Bulldogs with 16 points and 16 rebounds, three blocks and three steals.

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (June 11, 2013) -- Monday evening's game between the Kannapolis Intimidators and Augusta GreenJackets has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The teams will make up the game on Tuesday, June 11, as part of a doubleheader comprising two 7-inning games starting at 5 p.m. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m.
