Sunday, July 5, 2009 — Sandhills rode the strong arm of Ryan Webb to capture the District One Championship Thursday night at Ed Whitley/Diz Owens Park with an 11-0 victory over Troy.
Webb allowed only four hits in his fourth outing of the tournament while getting strong offensive support (seven hits) as well.
Sandhills advances to the state AAA tournament in Clarkton beginning July 17.
