South baseball win at West Montgomery

Thursday, March 11, 2010 — The South Stanly baseball team made it two wins in as many nights on Tuesday with a 9-4 road win at West Montgomery.

South Stanly will host

Matt Lisk went the distance on the mound for South (2-2), allowing three earned runs in 10 hits with no walks and nine strikeouts. Lisk is now 1-1 on the season with a 4.31 ERA in two games, with 19 strikeouts to just six walks.

South was patient at the plate against the Warriors, drawing 10 walks in the game.

Steven Wallace led the offense for South in the game with a double and three runs driven in.

Brett Fraley was a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Bulls, with a double and two RBIs. Fraley is now hitting .583 for South Stanly with a team-high eight RBIs, including three doubles and a triple in four games.

The Bulls rallied down 1-0 in the third for three runs, then broke a 4-4 tie in the seventh with five runs.

South will host East Montgomery on Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
