DAV service officers available to serve veterans on Saturdays
Stanly County veterans are continuing to request assistance from the DAV Service Officers in Albe-marle. Since starting the Saturday service officer hours a month ago, local veterans have utilized the service.

Air National Guard puts fire training tower in place at Stanly County Airport
The Air National Guard has a new fire tower for training military and civilian firefighters in place at the North Carolina Air National Guard (NCANG) base in New London.
The fire tower will have state employees and traditional Air National Guard firefighters on site to man firefighting operations at the Stanly County Airport. -
