The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 054-26-07 Badin Lake held their Annual
Change of Watch recently.
The Change of Watch was held at the Badin Inn Golf and Resort.
During the award ceremony Marty Nail was awarded the Top Gun Award.
The award was presented to the Auxiliarist who achieves the highest activity numbers
for the previous year.
Marty Nail is currently the IPFC – Immediate Past Flotilla Commander. He enrolled in
the Auxiliary June of 2002.
With the resent cut backs on Government spending, the local Flotilla’s are recruiting
new members. If you would like to volunteer for the Auxiliary go to

Parker graduates from basic training
PFC Marcus Cody Parker has successfully completed his basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. After graduating on March 29 in the top 20 percent of the 2nd-13th Infantry Battalion, he was promoted to PFC-E3.

Captain Timothy Page, U.S. Army Recruiting Company Commander, Charlotte, and Sergeant First Class Scott Dickinson, U.S. Army Recruiting Station Commander, Kannapolis, paid a personal visit to Pfeiffer University’s Misenheimer campus to tour North Carolina’s first AMVETS Veterans Career Center.
