The Waverly Owen Skidmore VFW Post 2908 will hold its annual Family Fun Day on June 23 at the post home, 119 Anderson Road, Albe-marle, beginning at 10 a.m.
Family Fun Day will be hosted by the members of the post and its Ladies’ and Men’s Auxiliaries.
Saturday’s festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with a Fishing Tournament for children up to age 12.
Festivities will also include the following tournaments: Arm Wrestling at 11 a.m.; Horseshoe Tournament at 1 p.m.; Cornhole Tournament at 4 p.m. and Pool Tournament at 8 p.m.
There will be awards for all tournament winners. There will also be horse rides for children.
Other activities include a kiddie train ride, dunking booth, face painting, food and lots of games for the children.
