Campbell Named President of Carolina Broadcasting & Publishing

Tuesday, July 10, 2012 — RALEIGH, NC: Carolina Broadcasting and Publishing, Inc. has named veteran marketing and communications executive Richard Campbell as President effective July 11, 2012. In his new role Campbell will manage the day-to-day operations and special projects for the company, which produces a weekly statewide television talk show, NC SPIN, the interview series with significant North Carolinians, Carolina Collection, special events and The Efird Bible Study Series, now enjoyed by more than 1,800 churches across the U.S.

Prior to this Richard was Business Development and Marketing Manager for the company. Richard is an Elon University graduate with a BS in communications and has had extensive experience working for non-profits, healthcare products and service providers and information technology and communications manufacturers.

“Richard has the perfect combination of experience, great energy, unequalled work ethic and strong entrepreneurial skills to lead this company forward. I have wanted Richard to come into our closely held company for many years and I am thrilled the opportunity presented itself. Every dad dreams of having a son or daughter lead their closely held business to the next generation,” Tom Campbell, founder of the company and father to the new president stated. “He has demonstrated leadership qualities and personal relation skills so important in the broadcasting and publishing field.”

Carolina Broadcasting started in 1996 when the company became licensee of Fox50, the Raleigh-Durham affiliated of Fox television. In mid-July the company will move to larger quarters in Raleigh, complete with a television production studio and editing capabilities. In addition the company has announced a new statewide healthcare initiative, A Healthier NC™, which will be launched later in 2012.
