Sunday, February 24, 2013 — Wayne Reed Davis, age 65, of Florence, S.C., passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013, at Five Oaks Manor, Concord, N.C.
The family received friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Monday, February 18, 2013, from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service was at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at 11 a.m. Burial followed at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury. Military honors were conducted by Stanly County DAV Chapter 12.
Mr. Davis was born on September 30, 1947, to the late Elvin Parks Davis and the late Frances Horne Davis.
Wayne is survived by two sons, Terry Davis and wife Lynn of Lexington and Tony Davis and wife Maxine of Albemarle; a daughter, Tammy Ritchie and husband Steve of Concord; two brothers, Hollis Davis of Norwood and Ted Davis of Albemarle; two sisters, Pam Ridenhour of Richfield and Joan Harris of Mocksville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
