Wednesday, December 5, 2012 —
Bobby Ray Epps, 78 of Stanly County passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Stanly Regional Hospital.
Mr. Epps was born March 6, 1934 in Stanly County to the late Percy V. Epps and Cora Bell Whitley Epps Lisk. He was also preceded in death by three brothers.
The family received friends from 12:30-2 p.m., Dec. 4 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral followed at 2 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Albemarle. Rev. Lonnie Whitley officiated. He was buried at Stanly Gardens Cemetery, with military honors.
At other times, the family will meet at the home of his daughter Teresa Lowder of New London.
Survivors include his three daughters, Teresa Lowder and husband Steve of Albemarle, Anita Almond and husband William of Albemarle, Denise Snow and husband Rex of Oklahoma; two sons, Ronald Epps and wife Cherie of Florida and Kevin Epps of Richfield; his former wife, Edna Dick Epps of Richfield; three sisters, Betty Higgins of Pinnacle, Shirley Schwartz of Charlotte, Karen Winfree of Waynesville; one stepbrother Bobby Lisk of Lenoir; grandchildren, Michael Lowder, Morgan Casey, Christina Weber, Cora-Lee Snow, Sara Snow, Brandy Almond, Jacob Almond; and seven great grandchildren.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Epps family.
