Thursday, February 7, 2013 — Carroll Cornelius Whitley, age 75, of Albemarle, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Stanly Regional Medical Center.
The family meeting place will be at the home of his sister, Jewell Honeycutt.
Mr. Whitley was born on April 15, 1937, to the late Colon Whitley and the late Margaret Myers Whitley. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Laura Cline Whitley; two brothers, Charles Whitley and Kenneth Whitley.
Carroll is survived by one son, James Whitley and wife Shelley of Locust; one daughter, Chrystal Tucker and partner Jeff Jordan of Conway, S.C.; three brothers, Wayne Whitley and wife Glenda of Badin, Gary Whitley of New London and Larry Whitley of Richfield; two sisters, Cathy Smith and husband Darrell of New London and Jewell Honeycutt and husband Darrell of Albemarle; and four grandchildren.
