Joyce Elaine Smith Rhyne, 68, of Albemarle, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at her home.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 25, 2013, from 3-4 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle.
The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Ron Honeycutt, will be at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel at 4 pm. following visitation. Burial will follow at Plyler Baptist Church Cemetery.
Joyce was born on May 21, 1944, to the late Samuel Smith and the late Rebecca Smith. She is also preceded in death by her husband in 2011, Albert Lee Rhyne; daughter, Sharon Brown; and a brother, William Roger Smith.
Ms. Rhyne is survived by loving grandchildren, Kristopher Lee Honeycutt and fiancé Tiffany of Statesville and Zachary Dylan Brown of Davidson.
The family wishes to thank Libby Miller, Joyce’s caregiver and cousin, and Hospice of Stanly County for their constant care, kindness and support.
