Thursday, January 3, 2013 — Vaulton “Bob” Lockamy, 94, of Albemarle, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at Stanly Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Friday, January 4, 2013, from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Roger Thomas and Rev. Dan Freeman, will be at First Baptist Church, Albemarle on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Church, 7605 Newton Grove Hwy., Dunn, NC. At other times, the family will meet at his home.
Mr. Lockamy was born on July 15, 1918, to the late Bradley D. Lockamy and the late Maggie Ola Lockamy. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Terah Phillips Lockamy; and a brother, Wallace Lockamy.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Helen Maxine Gibson Lockamy of the home; a brother, Archie Lockamy of Albemarle; a brother-in-law, Roger Gibson; special nephews, Tim and Tommy Lockamy; and numerous nieces and newphews.
