Thursday, November 29, 2012 — Mattie Diane Miller Taylor, age 60, of Albemarle, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at CMC-Main in Charlotte.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 30, 2012, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel at 4 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery. At other times the family will be meeting at her home.
Mattie was born in Albemarle on February 6, 1952, to the late Mavion Reece Miller and Mattie Ruth Page Miller of Albemarle.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Darrell Lane Taylor of the home; two daughters, Tanya Almond and husband Dale of Albemarle and Tammy Ricketts of Albemarle; a son, Steve Taylor and wife Kirby of Lexington; five grandchildren, Mylia Taylor, Myranda Ricketts, Timothy Almond and Zackery Almond, all of Albemarle, and Alston Taylor of Lexington.
