Lucy Myrtle Gibson Troutman, 88, of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Thursday, November 15, 2012, from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
The graveside service, officiated by Mr. Darrell Furr and Rev. Joe Smith, will be at Fairview Memorial Park, on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at 2 p.m.
She was born on December 2, 1923, in Anson County, to the late Charles H. Gibson and the late Flora Grace Gibson. Mrs. Troutman is also preceded in death by her first husband, George Whitley and second husband, Junior Harding Troutman; one grandchild; five brothers; and one sister.
Mrs. Troutman is survived by one son, Don Whitley and wife Tina of Orlando, Fla; one daughter, Margaret Ann Furr of Charlotte; one sister, Eunice Priest of Charlotte; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Burnswick Ave., Charlotte, NC 28207.
The family wishes to thank Community Care Hospice and the nursing staff at Liberty Commons Nursing Home for their loving care and kindness.
