Wednesday, March 20, 2013 —
Charles Marion Cagle passed into the gracious hands of God on March 15, 2013, at the tender age of 71.
He passed peacefully, with his loving wife, Carolyn Louise Alley, and their children at his side.
He was a former deacon and member of Whitecrest Baptist Church. He was a long-time employee, retired, of Michelin Tire Corporation, working at several of the companies locations.
A devoted family man, Charles is survived by his wife and his children, Charles Jeffrey (Teresa) and Jennifer Ann and Craig Jason (fiancée, Estela). Also surviving him are six siblings, Frank Cagle (Peggy), Don Cagle (Laura), Bobbie Clayton, Danny Cagle (Shirley), Billy (Mary Sue) Cagle and Gary (Deane) Cagle; grandchildren, Charles Cagle, Justin Motley, and Brandon Motley; brother and sister, Robert and Pat Ivens; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Daniel “Newt” Cagle and Myrtle Jolley Cagle and sister Peggy Cagle.
The family would like to express gratitude for the many prayers of all and the care received at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital during his four year fight with cancer.
A memorial service was at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013, at Whitecrest Baptist Church. Visitation was held the hour preceding the service, also at the church. In lieu of flowers please send donations to: Baptist Children’s Homes of N.C., PO Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27361-0338.
