Thursday, February 2, 2012 — Jean Paige, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 after an extended illness. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Her passing leaves a void in many lives. All who were close to her are thankful for her healing.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 3, 2012, from 2-4 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord.
The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Gray, will be held in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 4 p.m.
Burial will follow at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Millingport Road, Locust. At other times the family will meet at the home of her daughter, Kathy, at 29063 Herrin Grove Road, Locust.
Mrs. Paige was born on July 21, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan M. Smith of Mt. Pleasant; an infant brother, John Smith of Mt. Pleasant; and a grandson, Troy Burris of Stanfield.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Lester Paige of Mt. Pleasant; a son and his wife, Jeff and Saundra Paige of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter and her husband, Rev. Mike and Kathy Burris of Locust; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
