Sunday, February 24, 2013 — Barbara Joyce McDaniel Moore, 76, of Locust, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013, at her home.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, on Monday, February 25, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. At other times the family will meet at her home.
The funeral will be at Sweet Home Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. Rev. Charles Bowers and Rev. Preston Young will officiate and the burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born July 25, 1936, in Alamance County, she is the daughter of the late James Rufus McDaniel and the late Jessie Morgan McDaniel. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Mark Moore, and a sister, Vada Myers.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Jason Moore; daughter, Kelly Bowers of Albemarle; sons, William “Buck” Moore of Albemarle and Danny Moore of Locust; grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Courtney, Travis and wife Gloria, Molly, Luke, Ella, Misty and husband Steven, Jason and Cameron; great-grandchildren, Carson and Ethan and Alaina and Trevor.
She was a member of Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church. She loved cooking for her grandchildren, singing in church and taking care of her family.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the family.
