John Kenneth Bush passed away suddenly from heart complications February 7, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was 58 years old.
Johnny was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina to John and Dorothy Bush on January 30, 1955. He was the first of six children.
He spent his younger years growing up in Fayetteville, Dunn and Raleigh, North Carolina. It was there he developed his love for sports especially basketball and also met his life-long friend Gary Jackson.
The family moved to New London, North Carolina where Johnny graduated from North Stanly High School in 1974. After graduation, Johnny attended Wingate College and transferred and graduated with honors from East Carolina University with a degree in Political Science.
After University, Johnny held a variety of jobs including working with the Boy Scouts, but his dream was to become a lawyer.
He packed his bags to follow his dream and moved to Oklahoma where he attended Oklahoma City University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1998.
After passing the bar he began his successful law practice in Oklahoma City. Johnny enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, movies, the Bush family vacations and discussing politics.
Johnny is survived by: his mother, Dorothy Bush; his brothers and sisters: Colleen Parker, Carol Bush, Barbara Lee, Tommy Bush and Tim Bush; his aunt and uncle, along with many nieces and nephews.
Johnny was loved by all who knew him and his family will forever cherish the love and memories he left them with.
He will be remembered as a man who had a kind heart and kept everyone laughing with his unique wit. He will be truly missed.
Funeral services will be held at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Denver North Carolina on Monday February 18, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. All are welcome.
