Dorothy Blalock Maner, 82, of Norwood, passed away early Thursday morning, February 7, 2013, at Stanly Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service was at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Joe Smith will officiate. The family received friends from 3-4 p.m. on Sunday one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Maner was born October 20, 1930, in Stanly County to the late Edward Oscar and Sadie Throneburg Blalock.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Miles Maner; brothers, Jimmy Blalock and Raymond Blalock; and sister, Barbara Austin.
She was a member of Norwood First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Tony Maner of Ellerbe, Alan Maner and Tammy Bice of Norwood; brother, Oscar Blalock of Norwood; grandchildren, Tiffany Jackson, Miles Maner and Bradley Bice; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
