Thursday, September 20, 2012 — David Adam Furr, 73, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012, surrounded by his family at his home.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 21, 2012, from 1-2 p.m. at Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church, 20063 Meadow Creek Church Road, Locust, with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with Elder Charles Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Furr was born in Stanly County on May 19, 1939, to the late Charlie L. and Julia Simmons Furr.
He worked in the art department as a textile engraver from the age of 16 until his retirement.
Mr. Furr is survived by his daughters, Linda Pryce and her husband Curtis and Brenda Boatright and her husband Jimmy; sister, Mary Ruth Green; brother, Robert Furr; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
