Ramelle Almond Cooper, 84, of Albemarle, passed away on February 3, 2013, at CMC-NorthEast, Concord.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, from 12:30-2 p.m.
The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Kenneth Burris and Rev. Todd McSwain, will follow at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Oakboro, following the funeral service.
Mrs. Cooper was born on April 1, 1928, in Stanly County, to the late S. Fred Almond and the late Ada Huneycutt Almond. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years in 1995, Charlie James Cooper; a son, Barry Cooper in 1953; a sister, Faye Shepherd and husband Ray; and a brother, P. Ellis Almond and wife Betty; and a special friend, Harvey Bost.
Ramelle is survived by one brother, Larry Almond and wife “Susie” of Albemarle; one sister, Shelby A. McSwain and husband Kenneth of Norwood; nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was of the Primitive Baptist faith, educated in the Stanly County Schools and a former employee of Knitsters in Albemarle.
