Thursday, January 3, 2013 — Boyd “Blondie” Bain Shue, 73, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012, at CMC-NorthEast.
The family received friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Nathan Hammill, was at Open Door Baptist Church, 24639 N.C. 49, Richfield, NC 28137, on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 2 p.m. Burial followed in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at his home.
Blondie was born on June 22, 1939, in Concord, to the late Paul Shue and the late Fannie Mae Shue. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Shue.
Mr. Shue is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jean Burnett Shue; three children, Teresa Huneycutt and husband Dale of Richfield, Jeffery Shue and wife Bettina of Donna, Texas and Tammy Faulk and husband Danny of Richfield; five grandchildren, Toby Huneycutt, Jake Huneycutt, Meagan Shue, Laura Cox and Trina Faulk; four greatgrandchildren; two brothers; and five sisters.
