Thursday, December 6, 2012 — Beatrice Lorraine Terry Strong, age 85, of Richfield, died at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Bethany Woods, Albemarle.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2012, at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle. Rev. Joe Smith will officiate and burial will be in Wainscott Cemetery, Wainscott, N.Y. at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012.
The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home, Albemarle, on Thursday, December 6, 2012, from 4-7 p.m. Also, there will be a visitation at the Yardley & Pino Funeral Home, 91 Hampton St., Sag Harbor, N.Y. on Monday, December 10, 2012, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Born August 4, 1927, in Southampton, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John Beckman and Beatrice Evelyn Garypie Terry.
She was educated at Islip High School, Islip, Long Island, N.Y. She was a former employee of New York Telephone Co. and she was a retired employee of Southampton Hospital, Southampton, N.Y. She was a member of Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church, Bridgehampton, N.Y.
Mrs. Strong was married to Douglas Pierson Strong Sr. of Richfield for 64 years. Other survivors include two sons, Douglas P. Strong Jr. of Southwick, Mass. and James E. Strong of Leslie, Mich.; one daughter, Terry L. Widmeyer of Richfield; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
One brother, Robert E. Terry, preceded her in death.
