Doris Hobbs Myers, 65, of Albemarle, passed away surrounded by her family, November 29, 2012, at CMC NorthEast.
The family received friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, on Saturday, December 1, 2012, from 10 a.m-12 p.m.
At other times, the family will meet at her home.
Doris is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jerry Myers; her best friend and daughter, Keli Greer (Craig); her most perfect grandson, Riley Greer; her big brothers, Jim Hobbs (Naureen) and Joe Hobbs (Carol); sister-in-law, Jane Myers; her nephews, Craig and Mike Hobbs and Tony Elder; her niece, Lara Hobbs; and many other special cousins and friends.
Our most giving and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend is now at forever peace. Doris had the most vibrant personality and giving heart and was always up for a good time. Without Doris, our hearts are broken and our tears endless, but our memories and joys are immeasurable. Her laughter and her smile will never leave our memories. She is now looking down at us from heaven with her parents, Sarah and Norwood Hobbs. She sees the results of her unconditional love for her family and she knows she has left our world a better place.
