Brenda Kay Hathcock Morris, age 56, of New London, died at 12:57 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012, in Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Prospect Baptist Church, Albemarle. Pastor Wayne Lisenby and Pastor Stoney Benfield officiated and burial was in Palestine Cemetery.
The family received friends at Prospect Baptist Church from 1-2 p.m. prior to the hour of the service.
Born August 7, 1956, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Hathcock Sr. and Virginia Louise Drye Hathcock.
She was a graduate of North Stanly High School. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Morris was married to Thomas Phillip Morris of the home. Other survivors include one son, Chad Morris and wife Cassie of Richfield; two brothers, John H. Hathcock of New London and Harvey L. Hathcock Jr. of Albemarle; two sisters, Pat H. Luther and Penny Smith, both of Albemarle.
