Mary Morris Hedrick, age 84, of Albemarle, died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012, in Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012, at Vine Life Baptist Church, Albemarle. Rev. Gary Hunsucker will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Albemarle.
The family received friends at Stanly Funeral Home, Albemarle, on Sunday, December 2, 2012, from 6-8 p.m.
Born February 5, 1928, in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late Shufford and Flossie Morris.
She was educated at Montgomery County Schools. She was a homemaker and a retired employee of N.C. Baptist Home.
She was a member of Vine Life Baptist Church, Albemarle and she enjoyed her children and family activities.
Mrs. Hedrick was married to the late William Harlan Hedrick who preceded her in death in 2007. One son, Stan Hedrick also preceded her in death in 2010.
Survivors include three sons, Harlan Wayne Hedrick of New London, Tony Keith Hedrick of Concord and Kelly Gene Hedrick of Albemarle; one brother, Odel Morris of Albemarle; one sister, Martha Lawrence of Sanford; 18 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Vine Life Baptist Church, 24655 St. Martin Road, Albemarle, NC 28001.
