Monday, November 27, 2012 — James O. Smith Jr., 66, died Nov. 25, 2012. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Nov. 27, Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. Funeral: 11 a.m. Nov. 28, Friendship Baptist Church, Stanfield. Burial: Church cemetery. Graveside military rites will be presented by Stanly County Chapter 12 DAV. The family will meet at Lane Hall in Stanfield after the service. At other times, the family will meet at his home.
