Olin Bain Stiller, 82, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2010.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m.
The funeral service, officiated by Dr. Rev. Roger Thomas and Rev. Court Green, will be held First Baptist Church, Albemarle on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park with Military Honors.
At other times, the family will meet at his home.
Mr. Stiller was born on August 11, 1930 in Stanly County to the late Robert lee and the late Lillie Pearle Gaskey Stiller. He is also preceded in death by brothers Ray Stiller, Eugene Stiller, Luke Stiller, Luther Stiller, David Stiller, Frank Stiller and Harold Stiller; and sister, Catherine Stiller Collins.
He is survived by beloved wife 51 years, Ella Stiller; two sons, Ritchie Stiller and wife, Kris of New London, Tim Stiller and wife, Lori of New London; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Sydney, Kelly, Jason and Jenna; two sisters, Edna Hickam and Francis Almond; and a brother, Vernon Stiller.
Olin was a member of First Baptist Church of Albemarle and First Baptist Saints Sunday School Class. He was a life member of the National Guard Association and member of the American Legion Post 520.
He served his country honorably in the Air National Guard during the Korean war. He retired as Senior Master Sergeant after 40 years.
Mr. Stiller was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed golf, fishing, woodworking and gardening.
