Clayton Henry Stegall, 81, of Marshville, N.C., passed away February 9, 2013, at his home.
Born February 23, 1931, in Union County, N.C., he is the son of the late Tommy Stegall and the late Alice Purser Stegall. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Retty Lucille Hinson Stegall in 2011; and his daughter, Kathy Arnold in 2013.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service was at 2 p.m. in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Chapel, Midland. Rev. John Miller officiated and burial followed at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 7002 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103.
Mr. Stegall is survived by his son, Randy Stegall and wife Rose and grandsons, Ritchie and Joe Stegall, all of Marshville; daughter, Pamella Simpson and husband Arthur and their daughter, Nicholl, all of Charlotte; granddaughter, Maggie Long, daughter of the late Kathy Arnold; sister, Shirley Adams of Matthews; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was a weaver in the textile industry.
